The newly designed Gordon James Grill & Bar is now housed in the former Vintage restaurant located
on the corner of 110 N. El Camino Real and Del Mar. The building was originally constructed in 1926
and was the business address for Ole Hanson's Real Estate Office. The property has been the longest
operating restaurant in the San Clemente area since 1926 under the names of Travaglini's, The Travel
Inn, Vintage Restaurant and now the new Gordon James Grill & Bar.
With over 6,500 square feet of operating space, the restaurant holds approximately 200 seats
encompassed in the main dining rooms, bar and outdoor patio areas. Having just completed a major
exterior remodel and an extensive interior facelift, the finished restaurant decor revisits many of the
original Ole Hanson architectural features as well as a blend of the city's historical past with a
beautiful touch of newer styles and colors.
The menu features an American contemporary style with fresh seafood beautifully displayed,
prime and certified Angus Beef as well as an array of fresh pastas, bountiful sandwiches and crisp
salads all with flavors of today. The original Vintage Restaurant coffee shop will now be home to the
Gordon James Bar with seating for approximately 80 guests. The restaurant lounge serves a full
beverage menu and will feature top local live entertainment while guests are dining or enjoying their
favorite beverage.
